My name is Janel I am Thirty years old. I was born on 1990. I am a Nursing graduate. I am from Manila Philippines. During my third-year and Fourth-year college I had CPR/First Aid Training Certificate required by our school. My Family is nuclear family we are just three my mother and my brother. My Father died when I was still a baby. I am the youngest child in the family. My brother Jeff (31) as of now he doesn’t have work so I work for the family.

When I graduated in college I started working. Call center agent, assistant nurse, administrative assistant and I also experienced working as a baby sitter a 1-year old baby I sleep beside the baby and make a milk when the baby cries, I sing a song “la la la”. I really love baby especially when they laugh.

Our house in province we lived together with my Aunt, uncle and cousins that’s the house of our grandmother and grandfather. If my cousins leave their child, I sometimes take care of the child especially when they need to go to work. Also, I take care of my grandmother I cook for her food, help her to do the bath, changing diaper, and also every morning we do walking so she could breath fresh air. Unfortunately, my grandmother passed away 1 year ago at the age of 90. When my grandmother passed away, I was so sad, I was here in Japan working as a caregiver.

Therefore, every time I work, I think of my grandmother I treat the patient like my own family seeing them smile back at me makes me happier in every day of work. I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where you have one-on-one interaction with others. I like making someone smile and doing little things to make a person’s day better.

Working as caregiver in Japan until year 2022 I study Japanese language required by our company, last year was a private Japanese teacher I study after work. Then, this year they send me in school to learn more about caregiving and also the words they used. Being a caregiver in Japan you won’t be able to do the work if you do not know the basic Japanese it is also important to study their language.

My duty as a caregiver in Japan help with Personal Hygiene and Care, Empathy and the ability to care for the client’s social, emotional, physical and mental health, Ability to multi-task, be flexible and organized, Ability to remain calm and handle any emergencies that may arise, Exceptionally patient, good at listening and responding to others’ needs. Also prepare their daily meals, grooming activities, oral health care, walking, transferring into wheel chair, excretion, and giving medication after meals, taking off and putting clothes, bathing, bed bath, planning and recreational activity. And dealing with families. For me being a caregiver is the best happened in my life I share my life with them my laughter even I’m away with my family I call them as “MY FAMILY”. In Philippines most of the family lived together with their grandmother and grandfather so my heart feels like I am home seeing the elders and helping them with daily lives.

My hobbies are dancing, singing even if my voice is not good. Taking photos in different places, I also love cooking I watched whatever I want in YouTube and ill try to cook it. I love the color of light pink. I love cleaning and decorating houses and also planting flowers. I love nature and beaches I love to explore in different places and take pictures of it. I am a fan of McDonald’s I love burger different kind of burgers. And also, pasta if I’m sad I just want to eat pasta and burger. When it’s cold I love to eat ice cream the vanilla flavor. my sports are swimming and badminton.

I speak N3 level Japanese and English. I can say that I am not perfect in grammar but I know I will learn. I haven’t taken the IELTS if given the chance I will take IELTS.

One of the best country that I’ve been praying for is to work in Canada and lived there and bring my Family. Canada is one of the best country in the world, I hope that this company would help me fulfill my biggest dream in life that I will never forget. I would like to say thank you for reading my short essay I look forward to hearing from you soon!
