My name is Jason, I am thirty-seven years old, I was born on 1982. I am from the Philippines and I am working as a caregiver for a 95-year old man in Jerusalem, Israel. For me; it was one of the most important decisions in my life. My family is composed of five members, my mother is a housewife and my father is a retired employee of a telecom company in our country. My parents have three children: me, the second child in the family, my two sisters Marinela (40), and Jennie Lyn (34) years old.

I am married to Marjorie and have a 1 week old daughter. have two nieces, 7 and 3 years old. My family is very closed, we have the custom of celebrating birthdays family, my mother cooks the favorite dish of the birthday, we sang “Happy Birthday”, then we get together, we play games, tell stories, etc.

My mother has two brothers, and my father has 2 brothers and a sister, so I have many uncles, aunts and cousins.

I love children, I think they are the most beautiful beings in the world, they are able to encourage anyone with their innocence and enthusiasm, they always make you smile and make you feel an inner peace.

I enjoy working with children, taking care of them, therefore you can trustworthy, that I can be someone you can count on to be there when their family needs me. I like to be always flexible with schedules, since one never knows what can happen, or unexpected events occur.

I speak English, Filipino, and Hebrew; I could say that I have intermediate English and basic Hebrew, my native language is Filipino. I love English, and I already get better in ENGLISH NOW I want do the same with my basic knowledge of Hebrew. I think these are beautiful languages.

My favorite color is blue, my favorite foods are burger, pasta and the pizza, I love animals, specially dogs. I like playing computer games, watching horror films and visiting different places. In my free time I like to go for a walk, eat, or meet with my friends. I like to travel meeting new people, talking and sharing experiences.

I have gained my experience with children mainly through babysitting and helping with their training. My first experience in caring children was from one year to four years, girls. I used to wake the children up, have breakfast with them, help with homework, and play with them. The experience was great. Sometimes, if the kids did not want to sleep, we make popcorn and watch movies for a short time and then put them to bed.

I also took care of my 6 months niece. I took care of her until she turned two and a half years. I had to prepare her bottles, feed her, help her to develop the appropriate skills, like turns, tummy time, entertaining her with toys or helping her to sleep. Then when she grew up we started playing outdoors. I also made breakfast, dressed her up, make lunch, put her down to sleep. I taught her to say please and thank you, when she wanted something.

My last and present experience was in Jerusalem, Israel. I took care of a 95-year old man. My duties were to give him bath, change diapers, prepare his foods, go out for walks, visit the synagogue. My experience was unforgettable. That is why I want to live this experience again in a new culture like yours.

I would also love to know the Canadian way of life, my desire to know more about your country and its culture. My family and my friends say that I am a very caring, responsible and loving person; In addition, I love children, so this year I decided to fulfill my next dream. I love children, and what a better way than doing what I love in a different country! I love spending time with children learning everything they can teach me every day. They learn a lot of us, but we learn more from them than we think. For me, it is wonderful to see them grow up with us and learn, little by little, to be more independent furthermore, my family support my decision and they are very happy for me.

I’m delighted to have the opportunity to improve my English, and I know I can achieve this goal there. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
